Barry Keith Grant



Barry Keith Grant is Professor of Film Studies and Popular Culture at Brock University in Ontario, Canada.  

He is the author, co-author or editor of numerous books, including Film Genre: Theory and Criticism (1977), Planks of Reason: Essays on the Horror Film (1984/2004), Film Genre Reader (1986), Voyages of Discovery: The Cinema of Frederick Wiseman (1992), The Dread of Difference: Gender and the Horror Film (1996), Documenting the Documentary: Close Readings of Documentary Film and Video (1998), A Cultural Assault: The New Zealand Films of Peter Jackson (1999), The Film Studies Dictionary (2001), John Ford's Stagecoach (2002), and Five Films by Frederick Wiseman (2006).
