Jonathan Rayner

Jonathan Rayner is a Reader in Literature and Film at the University of Sheffield.
He is the author of The Films of Peter Weir (1998/2003), Cinema Journeys of the Man Alone: The New Zealand and American Films of Geoff Murphy (1999), Contemporary Australian Cinema (2000), and The Naval War Film: Genre, History and National Cinema (2006). He has also contributed to Australian Studies, and Post Script, and to the following anthologies: Lost Highways: An Illustrated History of Road Movies (1999), Unruly Pleasures: The Cult Film and its Critics (2000), New Zealand - A Pastoral Paradise? (2000), Films' Musical Moments (2006), and New Zealand Filmmakers (2007).
